Learn How to Bullet Journal
Described as a "mindfulness practice disguised as a productivity system", the BuJo system is a simple and flexible system to organize your life.
This guided thought (previously interactive guide) shows you how to set up the Bullet Journal system inside of Workflowy. Originally designed to work inside a single paper journal, it combines task management with daily journaling in a natural way. Activities, events, and notes live together in an organic and flexible setup that forces you to reflect daily about your actions and plans 🧠.
Our digital version of the system leans more towards utility rather than aesthetics. You won’t find elaborate designs or pages but instead a streamlined layout for capturing, sorting, and organizing everything in your life. We’ve tried to take the best of the bullet journal system and combine it with the modern features of our digital app to get you going asap.
Our version also omits the index in favor of searching and starring. We’ve also introduced the use of mirrors to simplify the process of copying things from one log to another, something you’ll do every day. If you’ve been curious about trying out the BuJo system to get organized and capture your thoughts, our interactive guide is a great way to get started.

I got the sense that there was a day node in the daily node, maybe two if you are preparing for tomorrow, and then the daily node got moved somewhere. Also assumed that the monthly child nodes were blanked each day as items were moved. I think I need to watch the video again and focus more on the housekeeping. No need to respond to this one. Thanks.
Great explanation thanks. A bit too much activity for me. Lots of touches for tasks. Which is why my lazy a$$ prefers WF dates I suppose.
One question though. Items are either copied or mirrored from Month in the demo. Is there a reason they aren't just moved? Another way of asking which day gets moved to archive, daily or monthly? I'm missing a bit of the plumbing I think. Thanks
